比赛日程安排：2010.7.23宣布初选结果并选出20名参赛选手
2010.10.12报到，10.14排练，10.15半决赛（钢琴伴奏），选出8名入围决赛选手，10.16排练及彩排，10.17决赛（公演）
 
参赛年龄要求：女选手：30岁以下（含30岁）
              男选手：33岁以下（含33岁）

参赛曲目要求：
a) Program to be prepared for the Competition
Each applicant must present a program of 6 arias of their choice (opera, opera comique, opera
bouffe, opera seria, French or foreign operetta) of different eras, in at least 3 languages sung in the
original language and key. (Only baroque arias can be transposed).
One of the 6 arias must mandatorily be performed in French.
The program must be built as follows :
- 2 arias must be recorded on a DVD for the elimination round.
- 2 arias must be performed for the semi-final round, different from those on the DVD.
- 2 arias will be performed for the final round, different from the DVD and semi-finals arias.
The contestant is free to choose the arias for each round.
No aria may be performed twice during the competition.
b) Competition Procedure
Preliminary selection on application and upon audition of the 2 arias recorded on the DVD*.
Application files are submitted for preliminary selection by an Artistic Committee designated by
the Association. This Committee will examine the applications and view the DVDs. It will select
20 contestants for the semi-final round. This round will be held behind closed doors. The decisions
of the Artistic Committee are not subject to appeal.
Semi-finals: This round is performed with piano accompaniment. Contestants will perform the
2 arias of their choice among the six prepared, other than those already recorded on the DVD,
before the panel of judges. After the semi-finals, 8 contestants will be selected for the final round.
The final round with orchestra: The 8 finalists will sing the remaining 2 arias of their choice from
among the 6 prepared, other than those performed on the DVD and those performed during the
semi-finals.
If they wish to compete for the special prize of the best performance of a 19th century French opera
aria, they must sing this aria in the finals.
The final performance will determine the four winners. It is open to the public.
The Association will provide piano accompanists for the semi-finals and for semi-final rehearsals.
Contestants will not be allowed to compete with their own personal accompanist.
For the semi-finals, contestants will be required to bring their original piano vocal scores of their
arias; photocopies will not be allowed. For the transposition of a baroque opera aria, contestants
are asked to bring an already transposed score.
The Association will supply the orchestra scores for the final round.
Contestants are required to send the final list of the arias selected for the semi-final and final
rounds along with their application file. No change to the program will be allowed.
The order in which the singers perform during the semi-finals and finals will be established by
the organizers of the competition.
